What a little surprise we had the morning DiVinci was born... this is Sera's first foal, so we are not familar with her habits before giving birth; but you would think most mares would give some warning signs a couple days before foaling.  Well, Sera decided to keep them to herself, not even waxing up!  And when we went out to feed, there was an adorable little foal, 2-3 hours old, laying in the stall.  He jumped right up as soon as he saw us and started feeding right away.  Not too sturdy on his feet yet and a little scared of the new faces hovering around the barn to see the new baby, yet was born very healthy and wtha mighty appetite.  He has dad's beautiful head, short back , but we are guesstimating that he'll be as big as mum.  We would LOVE to add this little guy to our herd of stallions, but we already have too many!  How can u say "no" to those baby blue eyes?  And two lucky whites ears!  Plus, note the heart  on his left side...
